मैं जब बच्चा था !

मैं जब बच्चा था !

तब ना कोई फिक्र सताती थी
तब माँ अपना दूध पिलाती थी
गीले रहकर सूखे में सुलाती थी
नींद न आये तब लोरी सुनाती थी
तब सोच नहीं सकता था
यह दिमाग बहुत कच्चा था
मैं जब बच्चा था !

तब खेल मन को भाते थे
वे कभी कुछ भरमाते थे
वे कभी असलियत दिखाते थे
आँख मिचौली भी कर जाते थे
तब समझ नहीं पाता था
क्या झूठ क्या सच्चा था
मैं जब बच्चा था !

बाहर से जब पिता जी आते थे
साथ अपने बहुत कुछ लाते थे
बिन मांगे ही हम वो पाते थे
फिर मौज और खुशियां मनाते थे
फिसल गये रेत जैसे वो दिन
सोचता हूँ वह समय बहुत अच्छा था
मैं जब बच्चा था !


When I was a child !

There was nothing to worry
Mother feeds from her breast
(She) use to stays in wet, puts me in dry
When not asleep, she sings songs
Then I could not imagine
I had a weak mind
When I was a child !

Games appealed the most
Sometimes misleads us
Sometimes show reality too
Sometimes plays the blind cap
Then I could not understand
What was truth what was lies
When I was a child !

When the father came in
Brought a lot(goods) with him
Without asking we get all those
(Then we)Celebrate the fun and happiness
Those days have slipped like sand
I think that was the best time
When I was a child !
